  How else would you describe the Delia Smith sensation in England? Delia is the best-selling cookbook author of the United Kingdom, the 14th richest woman, and a person whose fans cause heart-stopping races to buy whatever piece of equipment she mentions on her television programs.

  In this series for GREAT FOOD, Delia shows off the bounty of summer in mouthwatering recipes that beg to be tried at home.

  "This series takes us on a journey," explains Delia, "beginning with the early asparagus and garden rhubarb of May, through the last of the runner beans pickled in August. And I am not confined to specifically British recipes: I am tracking summer around the world for new ideas and inspiration."

  To sample Delia’s inspiring summer eating ideas, you could try her Chilled Lemon Grass and Cilantro Soup, followed by Chicken With Sherry Vinegar and Tarragon Sauce, topped off with a slice of Fresh Cheesecake with Strawberry Sauce. A summer buffet party might start with her Roasted Tomato Salad, followed by Salmon Steaks with Avocado and Cream Sauce, Pesto Rice Salad and Caramel Meringues with Mascarpone Cream.
